  I used Emerald for several years with satisfactory results. Approximately 2 years ago one of their technicians applied the wrong chemical to my front yard and destroyed it. Emerald was initially very up front and helpful, even going so far as to re-sod a portion of my front yard. I requested that they take soil sample to analyze before re-sodding, but they didn't... and the sod never took. They continued to work with me over many months providing discounted visits. However, the yard/soil was completely destroyed and has never recovered despite my paying for additional services such as aeration and top dressing.   I have been a customer of Emerald Lawn, but after this experience I cannot recommend this company. I called simply to inquire about one of their additional services. During the same phone call, I asked whether they offered a monthly payment option. I was told that someone would call me back to explain the service in more detail and, if I decided to move forward, help set everything up. Instead, the very next day I discovered that my card had been charged $770 for an entire year of service. I immediately called customer service because I had never agreed to purchase the service, never signed any paperwork, and never authorized an annual payment.   Been using Emerald Lawns for a couple of seasons. This Spring had first time needing to call them. Said that part of my front yard is the worst it has been in 10 years. Was told someone would call. Waited a few days, no call. Called back. Got an appt for following week. No show, no call. Called again. Got an appt and supervisor Felton came out to look at problem. Agreed to recovery plan. No call back from Felton for implementation. Called and set up appt for following week. No show, no call. Customer service rep said they did not have work order.   This is our 4th treatment. I am not seeing any improvement in the treatment of the Dallis grass. This is one of the issues that we discussed that was a concern for us. Your response is welcome. Diane Braun

  Ever since we moved and lost our old lawn service, Emerald has been taking care of all of our fertilizer, weed control, and other lawn care needs. And they do a great job. One thing I really appreciate, which was evident in Lagreg's work today, is that they don't leave a mess. Whether spreading compost or fertilizer granules, they don't leave bits behind on the sidewalk or the street or anything. It's a little thing, but it's noticeable. High fives for that.
